Based on the Old Lewes Racecourse in the heart of the Sussex countryside, County Stables with the surrounding naturally occurring gallops and hilly terrain provide the variety which is ideally suited for the conditioning, training and working of racehorses. It is easy to see why the horses trained here, combined with other factors, look so fit and well at the races. (Click any picture to enlarge)

Complimented with regular turnout, the result is horses are trained without knowing it and are happy and enthusiastic in their work. County Stables enjoys sole use of their one mile all weather gallop, plus a two mile grass gallop on the old racecourse. An excellent schooling ground with six fences including an open ditch and four flights of hurdles on rising ground plus a set of starting stalls for the flat race horses complement the package.
